I chose the topic of wanting longer passing periods for my opinion speech after hearing someone else talk about the idea. Sometime leading up to my opinion speech, I heard someone say that it would be so nice if we had longer passing periods. I heard this belief and very much agreed with it. I decided that it would be a great opinion to share in my class because I feel like we can all relate to it. I anticipate selecting topics for future speeches by picking a topic that I find interesting, while also choosing one that the audience would enjoy hearing about. I personally have chosen topics that I have heard others talk about, and ones that interest my audience and me.
