I chose to do my opinion speech over Disney movies because it was something I had already written about in English class last year. I thought it was interesting to me as well. I will use another English paper for my information speech, and after that I will have to lean on brainstorming to find topic ideas. I think drawing from personal experiences and events that have affected me would also be something to look into.

I think it is very wise for you to draw from personal events and experiences. Personal experiences have been the driving force for my topics and it makes writing the speech easier because you remember the content vividly, and therefore you don't have to search for it.
