I do not think that bias is always a bad thing. Bias can (not always) show more in-depth info about a topic than if it were unbiased as the writer has more of a reason to do better. For example, if a source is biased on which team will win the Super Bowl this year, the team they are covering will have very good information and arguments for why they believe that team will win. While bias can be helpful, most sources that use bias should not be trusted.

I like how you put this Gavin. I agree bias is not always bad and that biased sources should not be fully trusted. Bias shows perspective that can be otherwise overlooked.

You make a good point here, for sure if you have an inclination to be biased for something, you have a desire to be more in depth.

I agree that bias adds a sense of connection to a writer's work. I like your example of the Super Bowl and I think you are correct in saying that biased sources can't always be trusted.
