I believe that bias is often hard to avoid. This is because typically people choose a topic that resonates with them, or something they are passionate about. At the source, it is hard to find a topic that won't have some bias included. Even statistics can be manipulated into making your point seem stronger than it is. Sometimes, bias is unintentional, and in many speeches with one viewpoint, it is easy to overemphasize the evidence for the point. In some cases, like our opinion speech, bias isn't necessarily bad because that is the point of the speech.

I agree that bias is hard to avoid, but I believe that if approached with the right mindset, it's possible to see things from a neutral perspective. It just requires being able to slow down and look at the big picture.
