I can establish goodwill in my future speeches by explaining why the topic isn’t only important to me, but also why it is important to my audience. I can do this by relating the topic to something most people have experienced, even if it is broad, such as trying something new. I can also make my topic important to the audience by asking a question and having them answer with their personal experience. Both of these examples create credibility for myself, and they help me gain trust with the audience. Overall, establishing goodwill in speeches explains why the topic is important to the audience.
