As Mamdanis took office, he immediately began to work towards more price controlling that would further "benefit" those who needed the help to be able to make things more "affordable." Starting off, Mamdani supposed a raise in the minimum wage to 30$ after several years. Now, here in Indiana, the minimum s 7.25$. Pretty low, but so is the price of everything else here. Want to know why? We don't have a legislation forcing employers to pay such a high and outrageous price for labor. Instead, they have the liberty to pay for the labor they want at a lower rate because that is the true price of the value of labor. This control of minimum wage causes less work to be available to Joe Shmoe who doesn't have the much skilled labor. Now what about rent control? Want less buildings in New York? You got two options, fake an event and demolish the buildings to gain resources or political push, or rent control. The buildings will be gone in a few short years as the rent is capped and cannot cover the ever growing property tax and the cost of maintaining the building. So what will New York look like in a few years under Mamdani's new policies? Well, how it is already becoming... trash. Sorry Yankees. Better find a cleaner and more maintained stadium.
