By looking at the current data, there is a clear correlation between a workers level of education and their chances of being employed. More specifically, the unemployment rate for those with a bachelors degree or higher remain significantly lower than the national average. According to the March 2026 BLS data, the unemployment rate for workers with a Bachelors degree of higher (3%) is nearly half of those with a high school diploma (5.6%).
