Chapter 4 Response
Topics for speech presentations can come from a variety of sources: what you already know, what you're interested in, something outside of your current sphere that comes across your path (a song, a movie, a conversation, a speech topic website, etc.). Sometimes we can manufacture topics through activities like brainstorming, free/word association and concept mapping (webbing). Sometimes the topic is forced on you (introduce a friend, and you didn't get to choose the friend).
1) How did you land on a topic for your opinion speech. What led you to pursue that train of thought?
2) How do you anticipate selecting topics for some of the future presentations, particularly the information and persuasive speeches?
Eight points for a complete answer. Two points for responding and reacting to at least two classmates' posts.
